Started with warm wine and a crowded table

In the Okanagan Valley — where vineyards stretch toward mountain ridgelines — our founders spent weekends doing what everyone does there: bringing a bottle, sharing a meal, and chasing that first perfect sip.

But there was always a trade-off.

Ice buckets were bulky. The freezer trick took too long. And once the wine finally hit the right temperature, one clumsy pour could drip down the label and onto the tablecloth.

So they asked a simple question:

Why can’t one tool handle the whole ritual—chill it fast, smooth it out, and pour it clean?

That question became Zak.

From kitchen prototypes to the 3-in-1.

They started where all good products start: at home.

A stainless-steel rod went into the freezer. Pour spouts were tested. Aeration was tweaked. Stopper seals were redesigned after the “bag test” (turning a bottle upside down in the sink to catch leaks).

The final design became today's ChillRod
